Barramundi Charters
Based on local knowledge of the areas that produce the best fishing, Barramundi Charters fishing destinations can vary between rivers and billabongs depending on the time of the year.
Barramundi Fishing in the Territory has two specific times of the year when the fish are biting the most – Our “Build Up Barra Fishing” is normally from mid-August to end of November and our Wet Season “Run Off Barra Fishing” is from beginning of March through until May.
Barramundi Charters Fishing Day Trips - Darwin Harbour, Adelaide River, Shady Camp or Corroboree Billabong
Adelaide River on the Arnhem Hwy to fish upstream or Adelaide River mouth to fish Wiltshire Creeks – Traveling to Saltwater Arm boat ramp or Leaders Creek boat ramp to travel around the coast to Tommy Cut Creek in our build-up (Mid-August to end of November)
Or
Corroboree Billabong Barra Fishing – Open from April through to end of October depending on our wet season (part of the Mary River system) for guests that want a true Territory experience with lots of wildlife to see while you fish. Lots of big crocodiles, bird life including Jabiru’s, Sea Eagles, Magpie Geese etc. Buffalos, Feral Pigs, Dingoes and more.

Schedule 7am – 4pm depending on tides (Please note: Corroboree Billabong isn’t tidal)
Includes transfer in our Dodge RAM 4WD from a designated meeting point departing at 5:30am & returning to drop off location at 5:30pm
Shady Camp (Mary River) day trip
We can travel by boat around the coast in our build up months or travel by 4WD to Shady Camp barrage to launch the boat during our wet season

Fishing Darwin Harbour is perfect for beginners wanting to learn how to catch a barra & don’t have the time to go on a full day.

Barramundi 2–5-day Fishing Charters
We can provide Barramundi 2–5-day Fishing Trips to Daly River or Shady Camp and will assist you with which river to target based on the time of the year you want to book. I normally target Shady Camp (Mary River) in our build up and the Daly River in our runoff prior to the big fishing competitions.
We can arrange accommodation, meals, drinks etc. prior to your arrival and assist with choosing the best location based on the time of the year you’re looking at.
We supply quality fishing rods (bait casters & eggbeaters), reels, tackle & lures based on a replacement or repair cost if damaged or lost overboard.
Gerard will coach/teach you on how & where to cast, barra fishing techniques including lure placement & retrieval techniques to land that Barramundi of a lifetime right up to netting your fish to get it into the boat.
