With over 35 years of Top End fishing experience and 30 years as a Darwin local, I’ve fished all the major river systems and explored most of the NT coastline. My background as a professional photographer means I can also capture those trophy moments for you. After first visiting Darwin on a fishing tour in 1989, I was hookedβliterallyβand made the permanent move from Victoria in 1996.

Absolutely! Gerard has 30+ years of experience teaching people how to fish. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced angler, you’re welcome. We provide all equipment and personalised coaching throughout the day.
We choose the fishing location based on three key factors: the season, current tide conditions, and recent fishing reports. You don’t need to pickβwe’ll fish the spot that gives you the best chance of success. We’ll confirm your destination 24 hours before departure.
We constantly monitor weather, wind conditions, and sea state before and during every charter. If conditions aren’t safe for offshore fishing, we’ll contact you to reschedule. Your safety always comes first.
Our boat is equipped with a hard top roof and drop-down clears to protect you from sun, wind, and weather. We carry spare waterproof jackets onboard, but recommend bringing your own wet weather gear during the build-up and wet season months.
We stop fishing immediately in electrical storms. During the wet season, storms typically develop in the late afternoon, by which time we’re usually heading back to Cullen Bay.
In the rare event of a cyclone or severe weather system, we’ll contact you to reschedule your charter.
Yes! Children aged 8 and above are welcome. It’s a fantastic family experience, and we’ve had many young anglers catch their first fish with us. We provide fishing gear for all experience levels.
Yes! We can arrange custom multi-day fishing expeditions for both Barra and Blue Water, including accommodation and meals. Contact us to discuss your preferred dates and we’ll plan the ultimate Territory fishing adventure.
Meet us at Dinah Beach Boat Ramp first thing in the morning. Departure time depends on your tour but we’ll let you know beforehand. After a full day on the water chasing reef fish, we’ll have you back at the boat ramp by approximately 4pm.
